(NSK; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Akitoshi Ichii) announced today that it has joined the 30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity, an initiative led by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment, as well as the global TNFD Forum, which supports the international efforts of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). 　The Ministry of the Environment’s 30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity aims to halt and reverse biodiversity loss in pursuit of a nature-positive future. The initiative seeks to effectively conserve more than 30% of Japan’s land and marine areas as healthy ecosystems by 2030. 　The TNFD is an international initiative promoting a framework for identifying and disclosing risks and opportunities related to nature and biodiversity. The TNFD Forum is a global community of companies, organizations, and institutions with diverse expertise that supports the development of this framework by sharing the latest information and insights. 　Through its participation in these initiatives, NSK is committed to advancing a nature-positive future by evaluating the environmental impact of its business activities, identifying risks related to nature loss, and ensuring the transparent and responsible disclosure of this information. NSK will also collaborate with stakeholders across the entire value chain to advance the conservation of natural capital and biodiversity. The goal is to help build a sustainable world while further enhancing NSK’s corporate value.
