Schaeffler gets CDP “A” rating in climate change category for third time in succession CDP result once again underlines Schaeffler’s commitment to sustainability Sustainability remains of key strategic importance At the beginning of 2025, the Schaeffler Group has once again been awarded an “A” rating in the climate change category for its commitment to sustainability in fiscal 2024 by CDP, the global non-profit environmental organization. In the water category, Schaeffler received an “A-”, the same score as in the previous year. This means that yet again, it is one of the companies to have reached the highest level of recognition for environmental leadership. Confirmation of commitment to sustainability CDP, which was founded 25 years ago, manages the world’s largest environmental database. Once a year, it collects data and information from companies worldwide on their greenhouse gas emissions, climate risk profiles, and corporate reduction targets and strategies. Sustainability remains an important prerequisite for becoming the leading Motion Technology Company.” Inclusion in CDP’s “A List 2024” is testament to the high-quality, comprehensive and transparent data Schaeffler has collected in conjunction with its sustainability programs. This provides stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of environmental impacts and serves as the basis for the company’s sustainable transformation. Moreover, this rating also recognizes Schaeffler's disclosures in the area of opportunity and risk management, with examples from its Operations, Wind Power, Transportation and E-Mobility segments. The company’s Climate Action Plan, which was developed in 2022 to help the Schaeffler Group advance its decarbonization strategy, was a further important factor in this good result. In the water security category, the “A-” once again reflects the higher requirements to be met. This rating, which again puts Schaeffler among the leading companies in the category, was achieved mainly thanks to good scores for business strategy, business impact, and additionally this year, opportunity and risk management. The CDP rating is regarded worldwide as an important reference for a company’s environmental transparency. CDP scores are often used in investment and procurement decisions with a view to achieving a climate-friendly, sustainable and resilient economy. CDP uses a detailed, independent scoring methodology to assess companies and awards scores from “A” to “D-”. In this context, the ratings “A” and “A-” belong to the highest possible category: “Leadership”.
